A Topic we covered:
Contracting in General and what are some things that you should consider when contracting

1. Get a Written Estimate
2. Get References
3. Do the research on not only products, but the company
4. Never sign a Blank Contract
5. Never Pay up front (Pa Laws dictate the amount of money a contractor is allowed to take as a deposit)
6. Require any changes to the original Contract be done "In Writing"
7. Know what your rights are as a consumer...(We'll be touching on this in the next show)
8. Keep good records and details of communication between yourself and the contractor.
9. Be sure your contract spells out IN DETAIL what you are receiving as a service and materials.
